Handshake data

Handshake creates ~/.handshake with owner-only access. It restricts the database files to the owner.

Agent data that Handshake reads

Cursor sends completed session data through its installed hook.

Installed integration files

Handshake can add MCP configuration, hooks, plugins, and managed skills to agent configuration directories. Run handshake uninstall to remove the managed integration files.
Do not edit sessions.db while the Handshake daemon is active. Stop the service before you copy or inspect the database with a tool that can write.
